If your house ever comes face to face with a tornado, you can bet on needing some serious roofing repairs. Tornadoes can have winds upwards of 250 miles per hour. Even weaker tornadoes have the force to rip off tiles.

Video Source

In this video, you will see a tornado near Dodge City.

The video starts by showing a small tornado in an empty field. You can see the dust swirling around the tornado. A little further into the video and you can see the inner vortex take shape. Shortly after, you can start to hear the caution in the voices of the storm chasers. They know that a tornado like this can grow very quickly. Further, tornadoes can be unpredictable and change your movement at any time. However, after a few minutes the tornado starts to rope out. This is a term when the inner vortex becomes thinner rather than thicker. Even still, these tornadoes can be extremely dangerous. If anything, these tornadoes may be even more erratic that their larger counterparts. A few more minutes pass and the tornado splits into multiple smaller vertices. Then, all of a sudden, it forms into a larger tornado. The funnel is now very well defined and powerful.
