Bowling alleys are places where friends and family can relax and enjoy a good time. Levittown Lanes Bowling Alley was this for the Levittown community for many years. In this video, you will learn about how this beloved bowling alley went up in flames.
It was 5am in the morning on March 30th, 2022. Neighbors woke up to the noise of sirens.
Black plumes of smoke rose from the Levittown Lanes Bowling Alley. The town firefighters were promptly called to put out the fire. Unfortunately, the roof was already very unstable when they got to the scene. This made it very difficult to put the fire out. The fire was put out by 8am. However, the bowling alley was completely charged. No amount of building repairs will be able to save this community landmark. All we can do is hope that they decide to rebuild another bowling alley nearby. Thankfully nobody was hurt in the fire because nobody was at the bowling alley at the time of the fire. Some of the nearby residential buildings were slightly charred. They did not sustain any serious damage. the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
